As many computer users know, sometimes you’ve just installed and uninstalled so many programs that your computer just isn’t as speedy as it once was. I started my Vista experience experiment roughly 2 years ago and I can say there have been some good times, but I can’t deny that there were some rough spots too. Linux Mint Live CD
I make it no secret that I love Ubuntu, and usually love any offshoot of the project.  Linux Mint is supposed to be a more user friendly variation of Ubuntu.  I gave Revision 1 of  Linux Mint 5 Elyssa Main Edition a test run and it was less stable than I anticipated for a revision of a release edition, but it does show promise.  Read on to find out more.

A while back, I spent a long time looking for a good program to mount .iso files. Finding a good one for free that doesn’t mess up my Vista installation (had some problems with Daemon Tools in the past) was difficult, but then I came across Virtual CloneDrive by SlySoft which has no fancy features and does only what it promises to do, without error. If you haven’t heard of gOS yet then you’re missing out. It’s an Ubuntu based version of Linux that relies heavily on Google products. The “g” in gOS doesn’t stand for Google though, it stands for “Good”, don’t get confused and think that Google makes it, because they don’t. It comes pre-installed on those cheap Everex computers that Walmart sells. Read on after the jump to find out more.
