Last week, we mentioned how the LG GD910 watch phone and Fossil Wrist PDA were referred to as “Dick Tracy watches”.  However, Fossil actually made a watch called the Dick Tracy based off an orphaned Microsoft technology called SPOT.

This year, Microsoft tried to up its hip quotient by launching this retro-inspired line of clothing. They ended up creating some pretty slick designs that do not immediately seem geeky.

At first glance, this seems like a fight between the weird, loser kid everybody picked on in high school and the cool, popular guy who everyone liked and actually was a nice guy.  But perhaps, there is more than meets the eye here.  This fight is actually closer than most imagine.
