The already crowded laptop market has recently seen a new class of entrants.  The new products belong to a segment called budget thin-and-lights, or CULV (consumer ultra-low voltage) laptops if you listen to Intel.  Meant to sit between the super low-price netbooks and high-dollar ultraportables, like the MacBook Air, these new notebooks (which lack optical drives) are aimed at students and frequent travelers who want an affordable and light laptop, but need something more full-sized and full-powered than a netbook.

Those of you who follow our Twitter feed have already heard this, but we just got word that Lenovo will officially announce its new ThinkPad T400s next Tuesday, June 23rd.

Today, some official pictures emerged of the Pocket Yoga concept from Lenovo.  Apparently, the device is actually a two-year old design study, but it’s still awesome nontheless.
