Some people, myself included, are a little OCD about their album art and ID3 tage information.  For the past month, I have been beta-testing the new TuneUp for Mac, which promises to help people like myslef who cannot stand incorrect or missing music info.

Here is a live rundown of all the announcements Apple is making today:

HD shows on iTunes for $2.99 each
NBC is coming back to iTunes
iTunes 8 with new Genius function and Grid View, available today
Only one model of iPod classic: 120GB for $249
New iPod nano, looks like the spy shots.  Genius ability built-in to the iPod.  Accelerometer to detect portrait or landscape modes and shake to shuffle.  9 colors (silver, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red, yellow, black).  8GB for $149 available today and 16GB for $199 available by this weekend.  …

I’ve tried a lot of different media players for my mp3 library over the years, and I always end up using both Winamp and iTunes, while one is significantly better than the other. Both are free and neither is open source, Winamp is Windows only and iTunes is for Mac OSX and Windows. Read on to find out which is better.
