T-mobile G1: the first Googlephone

Yesterday, T-mobile announced their new G1 smartphone. This is the first smartphone based on Google’s Android mobile platform. The G1 is thicker than the iPhone 3G but has a smaller footprint. It has a touchscreen like the iPhone, but also has a slide-out keyboard.

If you’ve decided you are a little more serious about the whole blog thing and want to start throwing some money into it then you are going to have to find a hosting service and a domain. One of Google’s lesser known tools, I have found Google Notebook to be very helpful to me in school.  It installs as an extension on Firefox for Windows, Mac, and Linux.  Additionally, it is available as a plugin for Internet Explorer 6.  Unofortunately, there is no support for Internet Explorer 7, Safari, or other browsers.  The point of Google Notebook is that you can save websites, or highlight selections of text, or select an image to save to a central Google server.  There you can organize your web clipping into …
