Make simple photo edits with IrfanView

IrfanView is a long-time favorite here in the JPT headquarters.  It is a simple, lightweight image editor that might not be particularly pretty to look at, but it’s like your mother always told you, “It’s what’s inside that counts.”  Inside IrfanView is a wealth of frequently used photo edits and tweaks, perfect for the 85% of people who can’t afford, don’t have, or don’t know how to use Adobe Photoshop.

Peek announces new Pronto, good news for early-adopters

We just published our review of the Peek and it is already obsolete.  Today, the Peek Pronto was announced.  While the hardware of the Peek stays intact, the software gets a pretty hefty upgrade.  Current owners should not fret though.

Pipe Dream: Phone-less Palm Pre

Evan came up with this idea while we were talking last week, and I instantly thought it was golden. If the Pre is an “iPhone-killer”, then a phone-less Pre (let’s call it a “Re”) is an “iPod Touch-killer”.
