AppFresh is a small program that keeps all the programs on your Mac up to date.  It takes what Apple Software Update does and applies it to everything: applications, plug-ins, widgets and more.

I tried out AppFresh and must say I was quite impressed with it, especially considering it is beta software.  The interface is clean and quite powerful.  It even found a program (X11) that Apple Software Update left behind.  AppFresh can even download and install most of updated programs for you.  AppFresh does not include newer beta versions of your software though, i.e. the new Skype for Mac beta was not included in its results

For folks like me, who must have the most up to date applications, AppFresh makes life a lot easier.  Instead of individually checking for updates for each of the non-Apple programs or happening to come across the new version online, I can now just use AppFresh.
