Motorola Renew W223 helps save the world
This phone is about as simple as you can get these days, and it is exceptionally green. And I don’t mean just the garish color. It excels at being environmentally friendly.
The Motorola Renew has been dissed by gadget enthusiast sites as a crap phone. While this may be true, this is one crap phone I’d be proud to own. All the plastic in the Renew is made from recycled water bottles, and it comes packaged in a compact box made from recycled paper.
People may fault the Renew for being devoid of even mid-range features such as a camera, EDGE data, or a high-resolution screen, but it does feature CrystalTalk and a microSD slot. The Renew is a very simple phone in focus; it has great voice quality and battery life. This makes it a great option for those who use their cellphones to make calls and little else (which is a segment of the population that seems to be getting increasingly smaller).
You can pick up the Renew now from T-mobile for $9.99.
