The Sony Vaio P was one of the big stories of CES 2009.  It features a form factor that is unique among notebooks, being particularly long and narrow.  The Vaio P, however, is physically very similar to a subnotebook from the early days of Sony laptops, the PictureBook.

Pipe Dream: Instant-on OS for Macs

Instant-on OS’s really caught on last year, so I will start 2009 with a wish relating to them.  All I want in this new year is a version that will run on Macs.
