Asus Eee PC 901 price drop alert

Luofei 8 September 2008 331 views 9 Comments

It seems that Asus has decided to drop prices in the midst of increased competition.

With the entry of Dell into the netbook market and Acer already cutting prices, Asus has decided to drop the price on its Eee PC 901 by $100 to $499.  That cool half grand will get you an 8.9″ screen, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 12GB SSD, a 6-cell battery, and Windows XP Home.  You can even choose between Black and White for the same price (take note, Dell).  This move brings the price about in line with what Dell is charging and makes the Eee 901 much more competitive to the other netbooks.
