CCleaner…Cleaning Service for your PC
I’m always installing random software on my computer, especially for this site, often that software doesn’t stay installed for very long. Sometimes just uninstalling a program isn’t enough, programs leave traces behind all the time, especially in the registry . So every now and then I use CCleaner to get rid of anything an uninstall might have left behind. Read on after the jump to find out more.
CCleaner is great for cleaning up your registry but it also is good for getting rid of any temporary Internet files, clearing up free space on your hard drive. It works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox getting rid of any cookies and URL history. It also adds secure erase (it writes over a file before erasing it) to the right click menu allowing you to get rid of private files without having to worry about them being recovered. Like most software on this site, CCleaner is free, so go and start using it today Windows users, if you’ve never cleaned your registry I’m sure it’s a mess.
